Global Leadership Institute on Nation Building through Leadership Excellence (1-5 July 2024, Geneva)

The Annual Global Leadership Institute (GLI) on Nation Building through Leadership Excellence, organized by Global Leadership Geneva-Bern in collaboration with AIPD-GL, will convene in Geneva, Switzerland from 1 to 5 July, 2024. The GLI program is tailored for both emerging and established leaders across Politics, Civil Society, Civil Service, and the Marketplace. In a world where effective leadership is paramount, there is a pressing need for leaders entrenched in values that foster the growth and well-being of both individuals and communities. GLI’s mission is to empower such leaders to effect positive change in nations and communities, fostering flourishing and sustainable growth.

Ambassadors Historical and Reformation Tour of Geneva

Geneva has an impressive history in its political & economic development. The city as we know is also a worldwide center for diplomacy and hosts the highest number of international organizations in the world. In this city tour, we will walk the very cobblestone streets that John Calvin walked in the 16th century and uncover the rich Reformation history of the Old Town of Geneva, and the transformation of life and society it led to. This tour will be led by Dr. John Glass who has written a thesis and published a book titled “A Walking Guide to John Calvin’s Geneva; Following the Footsteps of the Great Reformer”. Dr. Glass is an excellent orator with a profound knowledge of Geneva, who makes this tour interesting. There is much to discover!

The 6th Partners in Diplomacy: International Women’s Day Luncheon of Global Leadership Geneva-Bern on the topic “Trusting in times of challenges” on Tuesday, 8 March 2022, adjacent to the United Nations Office in Geneva with Interview Panelists H. E. Dr. Mrs. Teuta Agai-Demjaha, Ambassador of the Permanent Mission of North Macedonia to the United Nations, WTO and other International Organisations in Geneva, Medical Doctor, Public Health PhD; Mrs. Vicki Anita Blackman, Public Health Specialist, Spouse of the Ambassador of Barbados to Geneva and Mrs. Ericka Mejia, Former Banker, Spouse of a Senior UN Diplomat and Former Vice Minister of Ecuador. The event was participated by a full house of 45 dynamic women from over 31 nations who are ambassadors, spouses of ambassadors, UN diplomats, and a few representatives from Swiss businesses and NGOs. The speakers shared valuable insights and there were lively interactions at the table, much appreciated by the participants.
